Furniture

We met up at the taste
you were hanging with your best friend Liz
and you snuck up from behind me
as I was talking to some socialists

I turned around when you called my name
nothing had changed the same freckled face
the same *** hair and brown eyes
the same lips for a smile on a head held high

you always had you're head held high
and I smiled

where you working
where you going
where you been
whats up?
you know the stuff you ask people you knew once
but kinda lost track of keeping in touch well
you said you'd been to Africa
and you were leaving for Japan
which didn't surprise me to much
you'd always been the kind of girl who loved the travelin

do you remember Austria?
Innsbruck,Salzberg, and graz?
at least remember vienna
blackbird singing in the dead of night...

well I ain't be to Africa
and I ain't leaving for Japan
I'm hanging out in Illinois, playing heart and soul
looking for a lover to play the right hand

and you'd become a buddist
and wanted to be a nun in the pillars of faith
well let me save you girl from a sweet bitter future
convent life gets stale soon enough anyway

are you concerned about the future
still worried about the fate of sun, moon and stars
well let me tell you girl it's not worth the headache
you have to let mystery have its' charm

but I can tell you the good news
it's only telephone lines on the cross that Christ beared
and the wire that I am choose n is the one that ain't losin
and will ring your telephone to let you know that I still care

I'm not afraid of you cold dispostion
I got powers in the spooning postion
give me an hour of quality kissin
I'd have you melt in my arms

I want more than what money
I said I want more than what money
I want more than what money can buy...
I want your love
